Wow, I bought this same exact toy at W**mart as one of their brands for under ten bucks reg price, but thats a different story. For the price I bought it I think its a great buy. I purchased it specificaly for when my 14 month old son and I go out. It keeps him busy in his stroller or play at a table if we’re out eating. Yes like any other toy it can get to us parents but it works keeping him entertained for longer period of time then other toys. I like the fact that it folds just like a laptop you can carry it in your hand by the handle. Pretty cute too, with different instruments and animal sounds and colorful screen with numbers and pictures. Not too loud or obnoxious. Also, I must add that its also very durable my son drops it million times a day and still works like brand new. My son loves it, we use it every day.

This is a fun toy for little ones. My little boy received this as a gift (his grandma got it at walmart for $4!). He got quite a bit of fun out of it when he was younger and even now sometimes pulls it out to play with (he’s currently 3). Be sure to shop around for this toy! I’ve seen it under various names for various prices. If you are looking for a laptop type toy for an older todler I suggest the Vtech Tote & Go Laptop Plus instead, but this is great for the little guys and gals!

I got the older version of this laptop for my son when he was about 9 months, to keep his attention away from my own laptop. It worked, and more than that, by 19 months he was recognizing and saying all the letters. The old one was extremely shock resistant and the handle was a nice feature, however, after spilling water over the keyboard half of the keys stopped working. Therefore I got this newer version that has also the typing feature and I also got one for our friends’ son, who enjoys it as well.
One observation though… my son is now 21 months and although this was his favorite toy for almost a year, his interest seems to be decreased lately.. I would probably recommend this for 1-4 years olds.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 4 year old great niece and was an instant hit. Both her parents have laptops, so she was happy to finally have her own lap top. It’s recommended for ages 3-7, so it should stay with her a long time. She figured out many of the games quickly and was enjoying playing.

It comes with batteries already installed, but do yourself a favor and pick up another package. The batteries were almost gone by the time she opened the gift. It takes 3 AA’s.

My daughter Hannah received this as a gift for her first birthday. She loves the music and presses the button to just listen to it play. We didn’t think she’d figure out the gears, but she absolutely loves it! she takes the gears off and puts them back on! She totes them around the house in her little basket, and then brings them back to put on the toy. She’ll sit in front of this toy for 20 minutes at a time, walk away and then come back to play some more.
My only issue is that the gears are starting to get lost around our house. Hasbro should provide a few extra gears for when the first few get lost. Overall a terrific toy!!

My son received this toy for his first birthday! I will be purchasing it as gifts for all my friends!! He LOVES pushing the button and listening the the music. I was wondering if he would be able to figure out the gears, but he has caught on very quickly and loves to take the gears off and put them back on. He also enjoys stacking the gears up and watching them go around! I like that it has a handle so he can carry it around with him. It keeps him involved for up to 20 minutes at a time!
It is very durable as he carries it around, has chewed on the gears (which are made of strong plastic and cannot be marred by chewing on them).

My three year old also likes to play with it! Her play is a little sofisticated with it as she tries to figure out which gears have to be put where (as in, do they have to be next to the middle spinning one) placed to make them spin and how many can be stacked and they still turn.

My one wish is that Playskool would include a few extra gears. We have them everyhwere in our house and cannot always find them all. It would be great if they had a place where you could purchase extra ones for replacements and/or to have extras for stacking.

This is an awesome toy that the kids love, can learn from, and is very durable! It is a must have!!

We purchased this toy for our son when he was learning to walk (at 9 months of age) and now he’s 15 months old and still loves it. It’s his favorite toy of all. He pushes it, pulls it, bangs the floor with it, chases the cats with it, gives it to me to push while he watches the “popcorn” pop and even this morning he was sliding it on the dome instead of on it’s wheels. YES, it is noisy and it’s not fun to have in the background while trying to talk on the phone, but it keeps a busy toddler happy! I wouldn’t recommend it as a “learning to walk” toy because it’s not 100% stable but for someone who is stable already, I’d highly recommend it!

I bought this for my son when he was 11 months old. He was already walking VERY well and he absolutely *LOVES* this toy! (I would not recommend this to a toddler just learning to walk.)This toy has different colored balls inside and the balls *POP* as the toy gets rolled along the floor. I don’t know what it is about this little toy, but he plays with this ALL THE TIME! After reading other reviews, my son never “swings” this toy! He thinks of it more like a vacuum because he sees mommy vacuuming all the time. And some of the reviewers wrote that their children run over their toes??? This is a very lightweight toy. If my son does run into something he simply backs up and goes another way. In that way it is a pretty educational toy that will teach cause and effect. OVERALL – Very Good Toy at Very Nice Price! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I got this toy for my son when he had just mastered sitting up (at about 8 months old) and it gave him an activity that would let him hone that skill. He swings at the ball (and anything else) with the little bat and loves the announcers voice–”It’s outta here!” just cracks him up. I recommend it highly. Mommy in CA

The Funny Phone had the potential to be an awesome toy. Such a neat concept. In reality, it’s kind of complicated. The phone talks a LOT which burns batteries and can bore the kids who just want a clear command or prompt to keep the game moving. There is also a whole bunch of dialing you have to do in this game. First you dial a 7-digit number from a list that connects you to one of 10 different places you may want to call (toy shop, library, pizza place, etc). There’s an answer on the phone, which is usually very silly, and then you have to dial again a number between 0-9 to get the actual challenge. You do the challenge (pretty easy), then dial again to check if you answer was correct. If so, you can get rid of one of your tokens by feeding it into the phone’s mouth (the player who first gets rid of all their tokens wins). Then you move on to the next player and again, a bunch of dialing ensues with a lot of talking by the phone. I wish the phone would talk less and there would be less dialing. As it is, there is not so much for the kids to do in between.

That said, so far my kids do love the Funny Phone (they just got it yesterday so it is a novelty for them). My kids are 3.5, 6 and 8. They don’t really want to follow the instructions of the game (for the afore-mentioned reasons: the game doesn’t have a good flow) but love just dialing the numbers and getting responses. I also see them using it as a regular phone toy (pretend calling friends etc). It’s a colorful, attractive toy and seems to be durable. As a GAME, it could have been designed better. I also shudder to think how many batteries it will burn in the long run.

Should you get it? Why not, but not for full price. I got it for ten bucks and am pretty pleased with that deal.

ONE WEEK LATER: The kids don’t play with this toy anymore. The game is not that fun. The phone sits in the playroom and is sometimes used as a regular phone toy, but no one is interested in playing the phone game anymore. I am removing one star from my original rating. Wouldn’t recommend this.

The kids age 4 and 6 loved playing with this toy. It is even more fun when they have a few friends over to play.

I always ask my daughter in law to tell me what to buy for any grandchild’s birthday….she chose this toy and once the wrapping was off, all of her 5 children (ages 10 years thru 1 year) were playing with the birthday boy !!! They had a blast and my 1 year old grandson continues to enjoy playing with this toy.

I bought this for our 1 year old and he does sit and play with it. He actually likes the little stack and suprise blocks more then the playset itself. He plays with those all the time and loves shaking them. So if your looking for something less expensive buying the other stack and suprise toys with just the blocks your child will enjoy just as much. He does like lifting the blue shelf and finding the blocks under it. He does like the music the playset makes and when the silly things go up and down. Its kind of diffrent from what is out there so it was worth buying too me.

I bought this toy for my 8 month old. He likes the music and to push it along with him when he crawls. The lights and music keep his attention. It seems fairly durable and rolls easily.

This is an incredibly durable toy for something made of plastic. My 8 month old likes his gift from grandma. It’s designed well, and it’s easy for him to push along the carpet and the buttons are sized appropriately for small hands.

The problem I have is it plays one annoying song from the top bottom. The other sounds are fine. If it played more songs, I’d give it a 5. Buy this toy if you can deal with one stupid song. Your child will like pushing it as he/she learns to crawl.

My 10.5 month old son and “almost” 2 year old daughter LOVE this puppy!!! It is so cute! And very good sized too! My daughter will sit and play with it – pushing on the ear, hands, feet, stomache and nose… making it talk and sing. My son just likes to dance away while the puppy sings (teehee)! We all have a good time with it!

It says many different things – to many to list here. My daughters favorites are to hear it say (when pushing on the nose), “Achoooo” (sneezing sound), or “You got my nose” (she gets a kick out of that everytime)! She also loves that it ‘sings’, “The itsy bitsy spider” (her favorite song)!

We have this and Hug & Learn Baby Tad, and we prefer this puppy because it has a lot of variety. It has two modes – learning and musical, which are selected by pressing the button on its foot. The other foot, both hands, an ear, tummy and nose play sounds or songs when pressed. The puppy identifies body parts, colors and sings fun songs. It is very colorful, has a flashing bone on his shirt and volume control through a velcro seam on its back. My young son finds it very easy to push the buttons. Some reviewers have said that the ear broke, but we have not had any such problem and we’ve used it every day for four months.
